About us

Piccadilly performs and teaches over 300 shows and workshops a year in the Kansas City metro area, touring to schools, libraries, and other events and holding a season of puppetry at The Leawood Community Centre and The Lenexa Community Center.

The company was founded in 1993 on a mission to encourage imagination through storytelling and puppetry for the young at heart. Piccadilly Productions has been chosen for Young Audiences' Touring Roster. Artistic Director Lisa Jorgensen is on the rosters of Young Audiences* and The Missouri Arts Council* as an arts educator.

We make puppets!

If you saw this puppet in the Brookside St. Patrick's Day Parade, you'll remember it was a 16-foot Indonesian dancer. We built this parade puppet for World's Window.

Piccadilly also hosted the Piccadilly Puppet Pageant, part of the Rosedale Rainbow Parade for 2 years, which also featured giant puppets, and we're already planning more work shops for next year. You could be a part.

We can build spectacular giant puppets for your parade as well; check out the picture gallery from this year's pageant and see Community Arts Projects under Workshops. For more information, call us: (816) 516-5820.

Our Mission

Piccadilly Productions is a child-centered company that uses original art forms to develop the imagination, build self esteem, and teach personal safety.

We believe the act of families, children, and educators sharing and participating in stories — stories that are true and innocent at heart — is a respectful and time-honored tradition. Sharing stories rejuvenates and maintains hope to communities and future generations.

The company comprises ten different puppeteers, actors, and actresses who work full time in the industry. We tour a variety of shows; you can bring them to your school, library, or community event. See Touring for more information.
